Wayanad Explorations (Long Weekend)

Wayanad, the green paradise is nestled among the mountains of the Western Ghats, forming the border world of the greener part of Kerala. Clean and pristine, enchanting and hypnotizing, this land is filled with history and culture. Located at a distance of 76 km. from Wayanad the sea shores of Kozhikode, this verdant hill station is full of plantations, forests and wildlife. Wayanad hills are contiguous to Mudumalai in Tamil Nadu and Bandhipur in Karnataka, thus forming a vast land mass for the wild life to move about in their most natural abode.

Regarding geographical location, Wayanad district stands on the southern top of the Deccan plateau and its chief glory is the majestic Western Ghats with lofty ridges and rugged terrain interspersed with dense forest, tangled jungles and deep valleys. The place also enjoys a strategic location as the leading tourist centers of South India like Ooty, Mysore, Bangalore, Coorg and Kannur are situated around this region.

Long Weekend Special Wayanad Trip :  An overview (3D/2N)

Day 0 (Wednesday)

•  Our Wayanad tour package starts from Bangalore, our representative will pick you up in the night from the designated pick up locations as mentioned further below in the link.
•  Overnight Journey

•  Reach Wayanad in the morning and take a breath of fresh air amidst views of picturesque valleys.
•  Reach Homestay ,After taking a rest for a while
•  Freshen up and have breakfast. The rest of the luggage can be dropped at the Homestay.
•  Head Towards exploring Wayanad
•  Reach the Kantahampara Waterfalls falls & Get drenched the falls( a small and easy trek of 1-2kms)
•  Have lunch

Please Note – For long weekends there will be lot of footfall of tourists and there’s very few options of restaurants near the sights that we will be visiting. Hence we request the travellers joining to cooperate with the food stops that our experienced guides suggest there so that we don’t compromise on the itinerary to be covered. 

•  Head towards 900 Kandi Eco park in Off-Road Jeep.
•  Enjoy the Best Off-Road experience of Wayanad.
•  Visit the Glass Bridge, Bali Swing & Indulge in many more activities of Eco Park.
•  Head Back from Eco park
•  Reach Homestay & Freshen up
•  Have Dinner
•  Campfire and Sleep for the Night
•  End of an adventurous day.

• Wake Up call, Freshen Up, Breakfast
•  Head towards Banasura dam the largest earth dam in India, constructed in the Banasura lake in Kalpetta, one can indulge in speed boating, Other adventure activities
• Have lunch

•  After Lunch, Head towards Wayanad Tea Museum and get to know about antique exhibits that provide information on the history of tea production in Wayanad, machines used for processing tea leaves in the past, and old photos of tea gardens and factories.
•  One can also taste the flavor of different kinds of tea here.
•  Reach Homestay & Freshen up
•  Have Dinner
•  Campfire and Sleep for the Night

👉Flip flops to roam around the campsite

Pickup points

• Majestic Near Metro Station ( 9:30 to 10:00 Pm) ( Shantala silks & Sarees)
• Nayandahalli Metro Station( 10:30 Pm)
• Gopalan Mall RR Nagar (10:50 Pm)

Any changes in the pickup location/timings will be informed to you 24 hours in advance

Drop-off points shall be the same as the pick-up points

Please note: As the check-in timings are at 11 am, we will be arranging washrooms for freshen-up and a place to drop your luggage off. Post 11 am we will be allocating the rooms.

Also, the rooms are quad sharing bedrooms with 2 cots and 2 floor mattresses. The participants are requested to book only if they can adjust to this. We can assure you that the rooms, cots, mattress are all neat and hygienic though.

Group Size

1. 12 to 20 members per trip
2. we would maintain an equal male-to-female ratio for most of our trips
3. At least 8 members are required to confirm the trip
4. In case if we fail to get the minimum required numbers, a full amount refund or option to transfer them to any other future trip will be provided

  • Homestay with cots with beds/Floor mattresses(sharing basis, separate for boys & girls), clean washrooms

  Travel:

  • Tempo Traveller or Mini Bus (with push-back seats).
  • Note: This trip involves an overnight journey on a push-back Seater (Not sleeper or semis-sleeper).
